DirtDogz Love to Give Back to
Our Community
Our players' commitment to service stems from our three core organizational values:
-
Philanthropy: Supporting the growth of multifaceted athletes through local community service opportunities and teaching the importance of community engagement by modeling a positive influence to others
-
Mentorship: We provide a structured environment for DirtDogz athletes to mentor younger players, and assist in developing the necessary skills to overcome the adversity and triumphs in competitive baseball
-
Access: By operating as a 501(c)3, we use sponsorships and fundraising to remove financial barriers, ensuring any talented athlete in Chelsea has the opportunity to play, regardless of their financial situation

It is a core mission of the Chelsea DirtDogz to provide athletes with opportunities to learn about the importance of community service and volunteering their time and talent to others. The DirtDogz takes great pride in helping the athletes understand the value of teamwork while building a strong sense of responsibility and ownership - both on and off the field. The DirtDogz strive to build a premier roster of players while cultivating the next generation of leaders who make a lasting impact in the Chelsea community.
Our boys take pride in getting their hands dirty to improve our city. Recent efforts include:
-
Park Beautification: Installing mulch at Pierce, Veteran’s, and Timbertown city parks
-
Facility Maintenance: Cleaning picnic tables and baseball bleachers at Vets Park and Dana Field to ensure a great experience for all families
-
Operational Support: Refreshing and staffing the city-owned concessions at Dana Fields
-
Charitable Giving: Supporting the residents of the St. Louis Center with holiday gift donations
-
Infrastructure Investment: We are currently in the process of funding and executing a significant dugout renovation at Dana to improve the facility for future generations
